On December 15 2009, the Minister for Tourism, the Hon. Martin Ferguson AM, MP released the National Long-term Tourism Strategy. The Strategy outlines the policy framework through which the Federal Government will deliver its vision for the future of tourism. The Strategy is supported by a work plan which addresses skill development, improving industry's research base, investigating infrastructure requirements and removing regulatory barriers to investment.
